இஸ்லாத்தில் இணைந்த விமான பணிபெண் மது பானங்களை பரிமாற முடியாது என உறுதி

அமெரிக்காவின் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ஜெட் ஏர்லைன்ஸ் நிறுவனத்தில் பணி பெண்ணாக பணியாற்றி வந்த இஸ்லாமிய பெண் ஒருவர் விமான பயணத்தின்போது பயணிகளுக்கு மதுவகைகளை பரிமாற மறுத்துவிட்டார்.

இதற்கு எனது மார்க்கம் இடம் தரவில்லை எனவே இந்த பணியை நான் செய்ய முடியாது என்று அவர் காரணம் கூறிவிட்டார்.

இந்த காரணத்திற்காக குறிப்பிட்ட அந்த நிறுவனம் அந்த பணி பெண்ணின் பதவியை பறித்ததுள்ளது. இதை எதிர்த்து நீதி மன்றம் சென்ற அவர் குறிப்பிட்ட நிறுவனத்திற்கு எதிராக வழக்கு தொடுத்தார்.

பணிநீக்கம் செய்யப்பட்ட பணிப்பெண்ணான ச்சாரி ஸ்தான்லி க்காக அமெரிக்க இஸ்லாமிய அமைப்பொன்றின் வழக்கறிஞர் லீனா மஸ்றி இந்த வழக்கை தொடுத்தார்.

இரு தரப்பு வாதங்களையும் செவியுற்ற நீதிமன்றம் மது பரிமாற முடியாது என்ற காரணத்திற்காக பணி நீக்கம் செய்தது தவறு என்றும், அவரது மார்கத்தை பின்பற்றும் அனைத்து உரிமையும் அந்த இஸ்லாமிய பெண்ணுக்கு இருப்பதாகவும் நீதி மன்றம் தீர்ப்பளித்தது.

மேலும் அவருக்கு அந்த நிறுவனம் மீண்டும் பணி வழங்க வேண்டும் என்றும் மதுபரிமாறும் பணி அல்லாத பணிகளில் அவரை ஈடுபடுத்த வேண்டும் என்றும் நீதி மன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டது.

கிருத்துவ சகோதரியான அவர் விமான பணிபெண் பணியில் இணைந்து சில மாதங்களுக்கு பிறகே இஸ்லாத்தில் இணைந்தார் என்பதும் இஸ்லாத்தில் இணைந்த பிறகு இஸ்லாம் அனுமதிக்காக மதுவை தம்மால் பயணிகளுக்கு பரிமாற முடியாது என்றும் உறுதியுடன் கூறியது பலர்களையும் கவர்ந்திருக்கிறது.

Muslim Flight Attendant Says She Was Suspended After Refusing To Serve Alcohol

A Muslim flight attendant in Michigan has filed a complaint against ExpressJet Airlines with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, claiming she was suspended from her job due to her religious beliefs.

Charee Stanley, who converted to Islam about a month after becoming a flight attendant with the airline, filed the complaint with the help of Lena Masri, an attorney for the Michigan chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations, or CAIR, WWJ News reported.

Masri told The Detroit News that Stanley had worked out an arrangement with ExpressJet in which other flight attendants would serve alcohol to passengers on Stanley’s flights, since serving alcohol is against Stanley’s religious beliefs.

That arrangement worked until Aug. 25.

Masri told WWJ that the airline put Stanley on administrative leave after another flight attendant filed “an Islamophobic complaint” that referenced Stanley’s head scarf.
