The A.C.M.C. is disappointed to learn that when the UNESCO brought a resolution at the U.N.O condemning Israel and declaring that the Israel has nothing to do with the Al Aqsa mosque situated in Jerusalem which is the third holiest mosque for the Muslims, our government Surprisingly maintained an unholy neutrality without voting in favor of the UNESCO resolution.
On this issue Sri Lankan Muslims are at a loss to know as to why our government abstained from voting in favor of Palestine issue when more than 90% Muslims voted to bring this government in to power.
Therefore, we urge and demand that the President and the Prime Minister must declare their stands with regard to Palestinian issue in their foreign policy.
